Company History

Buckley and Company Limited first opened it's doors to trade on 1st January 2004. Prior to this the office was formerly a Healey and Baker office now Cushman & Wakefield.

Cushman & Wakefield is the world's largest privatley owned global real estate service provider who have had a direct presence in the Channel Islands for some thirty years. Buckley and Company retained their relationship with Cushman & Wakefield  and operate as an Alliance Partner thus continuing the firm's proud association with the Channel Islands.

Buckley and Co's Managing Director, Simon Buckley FRICS has overriding responsibility for the business and is supported by Richard Lock MRICS. Both Richard and Simon are former partners of Cushman & Wakefield.  Director Catherine Buckley FRICS has responsibility for the residential property department.

Buckley & Co are based at 43 Hilgrove Street (see Practice what we preach). These premises were developed in-house by putting our surveying skills into practice on our own behalf. Our professional team of fee earners comprises:- 

Simon Buckley, Managing Director of Buckley & Co has some twenty years experience in the property industry, working not only in the Channel Island market but having gained considerable experience both in the UK and America (New York).

Richard Lock, Associate Director, has over 25 years of experience in the Channel Island commercial property market. Richard is also a past Chairman of the RICS local group.

Catherine Buckley, Director, has twenty years experience in Public and private practice in both Jersey and London.

Dermot Hughes, Assistant Surveyor, recently graduated from the Dublin Institute of Technology and is now an undergraduate of the University of Salford's School of Construction and Property Management.

Jonathan Queree, Chartered Surveyor, graduated from Bristol UWE and holds a degree in Real Estate. He is a specialist in rent review and valuation.

In May 2008 we acquired the specialist Property Management business of

Voisin-Hunter Limited.
